134: Help…I’m Burnt Out. Now what?

There’s a recipe for burnout: It includes hopelessness, helplessness, and stress. Today, we’re digging into the nuances of each of these burnout signs, but we’re also discussing the keys to help along with resources to point you back in the right direction. Learn about the difference between compassion fatigue and burnout plus steps to take when you’re experiencing mild, moderate, or severe stages. 



  • Very few people have a broad vocabulary to describe feelings and emotions.
  • This is burnout and/or compassion fatigue. It’s not a sin, failure, or weakness.  It’s because you have deeply cared for others and have not had opportunities to refuel.
  • I took some time off of work to get well. I know it sounds impossible. But it’s necessary.
