112: Meet Rebecca Bailey, The Care Ministry Coach

Church is about creating a space of belonging and healing…together.

Today, we get to hear from Rev. Rebecca Bailey, a clinical counselor and recovery ministry leader for the 510 Foundation, as well as a non-profit outreach arm of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene.

Rebecca shares her journey from finding the Lord at age 30, to serving and working with the local church, to now ministering to care team leaders as a cohort ministry leader with Hope Made Strong’s cohort program. Her experience has led to building strategic and intentional systems within care ministry, and she shares her insights with us in today’s episode!

Quotes

  • It wasn’t until I had my own experience that I was able to recognize…this is a ministry for people, and I know what it’s like to be on this side.
  • All along the line, it’s when things don’t make sense that I start to go, ‘Ok, Lord, what are you trying to teach me?’
  • If it makes sense, nine times out of ten it’s my own brain and it’s not the Lord’s work.
  • Life gets in the way, and if we aren’t intentional, things will slip through the cracks.
  • Systems provide us the way in which to stay connected and to fulfill our calling, which is to love others.
